HDR Nationwide Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of legal services by HDR Nationwide (“HDR”, “we”, “us” or “our”) to clients (“you” or “your”) in relation to housing disrepair claims. By instructing HDR to act on your behalf, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Scope of Services

HDR will provide the following services in relation to your housing disrepair claim:

  • Legal advice and representation: We will advise you on your legal rights and represent you in negotiations and legal proceedings with your landlord.
  • Property inspections: We will arrange for independent property inspections to assess the extent of the disrepair.
  • Claim preparation and submission: We will prepare and submit your claim to your landlord, including all necessary documentation.
  • Negotiations and dispute resolution: We will negotiate with your landlord to secure the necessary repairs and compensation.
  • Litigation: If necessary, we will represent you in court proceedings to enforce your rights.


3. Fees and Costs

HDR operates on a “No Win, No Fee” basis.
This means that you will not be charged any fees unless we successfully recover compensation for you.
If we are successful, our fees will be deducted from the recovered compensation.

4. Client Obligations

You are responsible for:

  • Providing HDR with all relevant information and documentation relating to your claim.
  • Cooperating with HDR in all aspects of the claim.
  • Keeping HDR informed of any changes in your circumstances.
  • Paying any disbursements incurred in relation to your claim, such as court fees and expert witness fees.


5. Limitation of Liability

HDR will not be liable for any loss or damage that you may suffer as a result of our services, except to the extent that such loss or damage is caused by our negligence.

6. Termination

These Terms may be terminated by either party by giving the other party written notice.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
